Why Central Asia Is Suddenly on Every List
- Europe-level sights at a third of the price. Samarkand’s Registan Square is one of the great architectural sights anywhere on earth. A week there costs less than four days in Paris.

Uzbekistan — The Silk Road, Intact
If Kazakhstan is about landscape, Uzbekistan is about history you can walk through. Samarkand and Bukhara were the great cities of the Silk Road, and unlike most historic routes, the monuments are still standing, still tiled, still in use.

Uzbekistan is one of the easiest visas a Nepali passport holder can get — comparable to Dubai, and easier than Thailand’s cash-check on arrival. Kazakhstan needs more lead time and an invitation, which we arrange as part of the package. Neither requires you to sit through an embassy interview, and both are dramatically simpler than a Schengen visa from Nepal.

Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan — Which One?
- Choose Kazakhstan if you want mountains, lakes, canyons, snow and a modern city base. Better for families with teenagers, and the only one of the two with real skiing.
- Choose Uzbekistan if you want history, architecture and photographs that stop people scrolling. Better for couples, culture travellers, and anyone who found Turkey or Georgia appealing.
- Choose both if you have 10–12 days. They combine well, and doing them on one trip saves a second set of flights.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book?
Six to eight weeks. Kazakhstan visa processing alone needs 3–4 weeks, and flights from Kathmandu on these routes are limited, so late bookings get expensive fast.
Is it safe for Nepali travellers?
Both countries are considered safe for tourists, with low street crime and a strong tourism push from their governments. English is less widely spoken than in Southeast Asia, which is exactly why a guided package is worth it here.
Is halal and vegetarian food available?
